  • What is a workcamp?
    The work camps are volunteering experiences of short or medium-term. Usually, a work camp lasts 2 to 4 weeks.

     

  • Who can participate?
    Anyone who is really interested and motivated to take part in a volunteer project abroad, aged between 18 – 99.

     

  • What are the general requirements for a candidate?
    Be of age;
    Having a good level of English – enough to communicate with the other volunteers and the staff of the hosting association;
    Be flexible and be adaptable.

     

  • What are the themes of the work camps?
    The topics are various, including: environment and nature, education and human rights, reconstruction, assistance in the improvement of health conditions, activities in arts and culture.

     

  • Where can I go?
    There are several possible destinations. Browsing the site projects are grouped by continent and different geographical areas: Africa, Asia, Central America, South America and Europe.

     

  • Who takes care of the flight, insurance and visa-related practices?
    The participants must plan their trip and take care of all the related practices.

     

  • How does the selection process work?
    After you submit your request, volunteers will be contacted by Joint staff to start talking and selectioning the best profiles.

     

  • Is it possible to apply for different work camps simultaneously?
    Yes, you can also apply for multiple projects, filling out a registration form for each application that you intend to move forward.

     

  • Is there any pre-departure training?
    No, the Joint Association – as a sending organization – does not organize a pre-departure training for short-term work camps. Are provided arrival trainings, promoted by the welcoming Organization.

     

  • How much is the fee?
    The fee of participation varies depending on the project to which you want to apply, and is specified in the text of the article. It also requires a fee of 20 € for membership with the Joint Association as a sending organization.

     

  • How do I apply?
    If you are interested in participating in a work camp, you just have earnt through the form at the bottom of the article, by entering all the required data.
